School of Public Health and Health Management, formerly known as School of Public Health, was founded in 2003, and in November 2020, it was integrated with Shandong Disease Control and Prevention Centre to establish "School of Public Health and Health Management". There are 9 teaching and research departments and 1 teaching experiment centre in the School.

There are 5 scientific research platforms in the school, among which "Laboratory of Epidemiology of Emerging Infectious Diseases" is a key laboratory of Shandong Province Higher Education Institutions, "Laboratory of Epidemiology of Diseases" is a key laboratory of Shandong Province Medicine and Healthcare, and the laboratory of molecular epidemiology of emerging infectious diseases, occupational and environmental health assessment, environmental health assessment and health management have been formed. It has formed the main scientific research direction of molecular epidemiology of emerging infectious diseases, occupational and environmental health assessment, environmental toxicology and so on. In the past three years, the college has undertaken 75 scientific research projects at all levels, including the sub-projects of the National Key Research and Development Programme and the National Natural Science Foundation of China.

After the new coronary pneumonia epidemic, the school gave full play to the advantages of professional resources and completed the sequencing of the whole genome of the new coronary virus, revealing the origin of the virus and the related mechanism of receptor binding, which provided the theoretical basis for the research and judgement of the spread and mutation of the new coronary virus, and demonstrated the initial mission of the public health personnel with practical actions.

The school has implemented the integrated construction of disciplines and majors, accelerated the connotation construction, collaborative innovation talent training mode, school-enterprise cooperation education mode, optimised the on- and off-campus experimental internship and training bases, created a "dual-teacher" faculty, and set up a platform for cooperation between industry, academia and research in the service of local industry and enterprises.
